Key Responsibilities

Operational & Delivery Management

  • Manage end-to-end delivery for assigned medical coding operations (Surgery / IP-DRG / E&M / ED).

  • Own productivity, quality, TAT, SLA adherence, and utilization across multiple teams.

  • Ensure uninterrupted delivery aligned with client and organizational expectations.

Quality, Compliance & Audit Oversight

  • Ensure coding accuracy ≥ 95% and strict adherence to CMS, Medicare, payer guidelines, and HIPAA.

  • Oversee QA audits, calibration sessions, and corrective action plans.

  • Track and address denials, rework, and audit findings proactively.

People & Performance Leadership

  • Lead and manage Assistant Managers, Team Leads, SMEs, and Coding teams.

  • Drive performance management, coaching, and capability development.

  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and workforce planning.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a primary point of contact for client communications and escalations.

  • Participate in client review meetings and governance calls.

  • Prepare and present MIS reports, KPIs, dashboards, and improvement plans.

Process Improvement & Delivery Excellence

  • Implement and optimize SOPs, workflows, and delivery models.

  • Support process transitions, ramp-ups, and scope expansions.

  • Identify operational risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or a related field (preferred).

Experience

  • 10–13 years of total experience in Medical Coding.

  • Minimum 4–6 years in people-management roles (TL / AM / Manager).

  • Strong hands-on exposure in Surgery or IP-DRG or E&M or ED.

  • Experience managing multiple teams and high-volume operations.

Certifications (Mandatory)

  • Active coding certification is required.

  • certifications:

    • CPC

    • COC

    • CCS

  • Candidates without certification are not eligible.
